I found the environment at this store to be unwelcoming, especially considering it is marketed as a toy store. During my visit, I observed staff interacting with children in a way that felt more focused on loss prevention than creating a welcoming shopping experience. It raised the question of whether employees are primarily trained for customer service or security. Ultimately, I left this place and drove to Grandrabbit’s in Boulder, where I had a much more positive experience and ended up spending $250 on Jellycat products.

I wish I had read the reviews before stepping foot in this place. My experience here was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was being treated like a criminal. The employees act like every customer is there to steal, watching your every move with suspicion instead of offering any kind of friendly service. The atmosphere is downright unwelcoming, making this hands down the worst toy store I’ve ever been to. Honestly, this place is a perfect example of why toy stores are disappearing. I took my business elsewhere and ordered from Jellycat.com instead—best decision I made. Avoid this place at all costs.

Wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The store has a great aesthetic. Awesome Jellycat selection that is selling quickly... but they're hard to find online, so I was glad they still had some in stock. I also noticed they had a lot of other trendy gifts in stock. Clearly work hard to anticipate what will be popular. Great in-person shopping experience.

I am a Blind guide dog user. I stopped in because they had Jelly Cats on display, and was hoping to get one as a Christmas gift. As soon as I walked in, three employees came towards me as though they were going to stop me with my guide dog. Instead, they made snide comments about whether my dog was a service dog. They then loudly decided that my dog was, in fact a service dog. I’m Blind, not Deaf. They talked loudly about me as though I was not even there, before they proceeded to follow me and my partner around the store. While I was trying to see what kind of Jelly cats they had, a women yelled over at me, across the store to keep my guide dog away from the merchandises, when she was standing next to me doing literally nothing. We promptly left. Don’t give your money to discriminatory places like this with rude staff. Dehumanizing doesn’t even begin to cover how rude the staff here were. Regardless the stock here was underwhelming. Would not recommend.

This is for the one star reviews, I’m sorry but this isn’t target where your child’s getting boogers on a $10 squishmallow, these are high end stuffed animals that people spend hundreds of dollars on. I for one would not like to spend $100 on a Jellycat that’s been in your child’s mouth. There is a time and a place for your child to be doing things like that like at home but not in a retail store. Personally I think the owners are really nice people. You could potentially ruin someone’s business because your child is lacking discipline.

Calling this store a “Children’s” or “toy” store would be a crime. I encourage you to walk by and see for yourself. There are signs everywhere that exclaim the toys on display are not for playing, they are for “testing”. (The signs read, 2 minutes = testing, 5 minutes=playing.)The entire section of Jellycat stuffed animals is roped off with another sign listing rules. I stopped in as it was new and every single thing looked as if it’s never been touched. There were four employees leaning on the counter speaking to each other and did not look up once. Although, I’m sure someone would have come over if we played with something! Children learn through play and their own exploration, it is fundamental to development. Of course, we’re not going to a store to treat it like a playroom, but my face felt hot from the pressure of doing something wrong! Some unwanted suggestions, I’m sure; Don’t open a toy store if you struggle with lack of control, perfectionism and social anxiety. Don’t put items on display that you don’t want touched. As parents, I’m sure we all know what a play kitchen looks like.

We walk on the other side of the mall so our children don’t ask to go in. If you’re a patron who’s had a similar experience, don’t fret, this sore won’t be here for long!

I visited here yesterday to buy some new jellycats. There were two stores under this name, the first one I went to was smaller. A woman kindly asked if she could help us find any specific jellycat and also let us know they had a bigger store upstairs with even more stock. We made our way up there. All the staff was very kind, welcoming and engaged with customers. They have the best selection out of any store I have found! All the staff wanted to see the things I picked, gave me stickers and made sure I earned points for my purchase. I was not rushed and the staff was not rude. I am not sure why they have been given such bad reviews but my experience was nothing but wonderful.

Debated saying anything, but after seeing a Facebook post this morning of someone else who had a similar experience, I think maybe this should be brought to someone’s attention? This was the most uncomfortable shopping experience of my life. Came in to look at Jellycats, as I am an avid collector. I am perfectly aware of how expensive they are, but there is no need to make people feel uncomfortable while they are shopping for their Jelly’s. There is no reason that someone should be hovering over the shoppers, making customers feel like they cannot look at the merchandise. The lady who was working was breathing down my throat the entire time, and would “fix” the shelves as soon as I picked something up. Multiple times she bumped into me, and she stepped in front of me as I was reaching for one as if I wasn’t welcome to be shopping there… If you don’t want them to be touched, put them behind a counter. I spent a few minutes going back and forth deciding on which one I wanted to buy, but ultimately left with nothing because she made me feel so uncomfortable.
