Mimi is a wonderful and helpful person.
I chose my bridesmaids dresses from her instagram page.
She immediately got in touch with me via text and sent me options. I had doubts about colours, she was kind enough and mailed me the samples and measurement guideline in the mail ( I live in NYC).
After I chose the right color, I confirmed the order and I got my dresses 4 months before the wedding.

I highly recommend her.

Do not support this business. I went today to shop for a prom dress with my boyfriend. We walked in and before we tried to take a look around, the owner - an older woman with short dirty blonde hair rushed up to us and asked us in a hurry “So which store is this huh? 1st? 10th? 12th?” which is really an odd way to start an interaction. Brushing it aside, I explained that I wanted a simple strapless black dress and evidently, there was one on the mannequin nearby so I pointed to it and asked if I could possibly try it on. She eyed me up and down and shrugged and said “Maybe.” which should have been red flag number one. She hesitantly took it off the mannequin and walked me over to the changing room at the end of the store. There sat a man on a computer with other women present. A very small place. As I went into the changing room and was REMOVING my clothing. She peeked her head in and said “No pictures. If you want to show people you have to use Facetime.” I did not even have my phone on me and what an invasion of privacy. Regardless I tried on the dress. Stepping out, I needed help to zip the dress up the back. I wanted help still in the dressing room stall because there were random people I did not know outside the stall and did not want to be exposed to them. She forced me out the dressing room which made me super uncomfortable. She refused to help me button the back of the dress unless I came out? I did anyways and she helped me and said that this dress style was sold to a beautiful woman before and the dress looks so beautiful. She made me step up on a weird platform to which I almost fell from because it was unstable. I did not like the style of the dress on me as I felt it was unflattering. She continued to push it on me saying that beautiful women have worn this dress and asked if I too wanted to be a beautiful woman? As I was talking to my boyfriend in conversation about how I felt about the dress, she began talking louder and talking OVER me about how I MUST buy this dress. After a bit of back and forth I said that I do not think this is the dress for me. She sighed loudly and shrugged saying “Alright. Fine.” We walked back to the changing room and she came in with me (curtain open) and said “So no to dress?” and I said “No, I think it makes my shoulder look big” and she said “Yeah, you’re right you are big”.

WHAT Then, with the curtain still open she proceeded to UNZIP THE DRESS OFF MY BODY. The random people and the man was still sitting outside of the dressing room at this time. I have never felt more violated in my entire life. She begins to take the dress OFF ME, as in removing it as if I were a doll and I am naked under this dress so I cling onto the dress and tell her I can do it myself. She closes the curtains, I proceed to get changed and then a HAND comes into the dressing room through the curtains and it is her asking for the dress in a rush. I was still in the process of putting my clothes on. I said “Just a moment please.” and with a sigh she took out her hand. After I changed I walked out of the dressing room and gave her the dress back and thanked her for her time, still maintaining to be polite. As we walk out, I explained to my boyfriend how she said I looked “big” and we walked out the store. At the front, I decided to take a picture of the store name (so I wouldn’t forget to never come back). As my boyfriend and I walk down the street, going to the other stores within the alley of Fashion District, this woman comes RUNNING UP TO US.

SHE. CHASED. US. DOWN. She proceeded to ask why I decided to take a picture of her store and I said that it was just for me to remember since I did not take a business card. She said, “If you like dress, look me up on Instagram and I will give you good deal.” I said “No, thank you and that I just wanted to review the store.” She proceed to press me and made me very uncomfortable. There is no professionalism and the owner is very rude. Don’t come here.

Mimi was a very kind woman who was very patient in helping me find a Dress for a fancy event. She was honest in what colors would go best with me and how to style the dress with accessories. Her customer service was amazing in that her patience and genuine care for each of her customers shined through my experience with her. I have never been more satisfied with my dress and my over all look for the wedding and I have Mimi to thank for that. Thank you Mimi! 100% recommend Via Mimi Fashion!

I absolutely loved this store! It’s prom season right now so I went looking for my dress when I came across this shop. I absolutely loved everything they had. They offered good service, they were quick, they had good prices. The workers were super respectful and tried their hardest to accommodate my customers needs and they definitely did. I felt welcome and they were not rushing me while trying on which is something I’ve come across a lot in nearby shops. The quality of the dress itself is super good and comfy! I’ll definitely be shopping here again.

The very first time I spoke to Mimi she was very helpful! She helped me pick the right dress for all 8 of my bridesmaids, 1 for my maid of honor, and 1 for my matron of honor. It was a great experience!!! Can’t wait for my wedding day. All the dresses look amazing. Thank you Mimi!! I would definitely recommend her!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS STORE. If I could give 0 stars I would. The owner is extremely rude, lies to you, and pressured you into buying dresses that are not worth the price. Store owner tried to pressure my mom into buying a dress that had horrible seams. When we first asked her about the price of the dress, she said it was $750. After we had tried it on she came to the back of the shop and said the dress was originally $950, but she would give it to us for $650. The tag on the dress said it was $750, so she lied to make it seem like she was giving us a better deal. . We decided to try to go to other shops and look around, she said that if we left the shop she would not offer us the same price. She continued to pressure my mom, by saying she wouldn’t be able to find any dress on the street from any other seller in her size, or for a cheaper price. I told my mom to ignore the owner and that we would find a better shop. Three stores down we found a dress in her size for $300. It is beautiful and perfect for my wedding.

My mom and I went to Via Mimi to find my prom dress and we were very impressed. Mimi was absolutely amazing! Totally supportive and attentive. She helped me chose the perfect dress. We walked around to near by dress shops and didn't find anything close to the beautiful styles or great quality of Mimi's dresses. I 100% recommend you go to her for all your dress needs. You won't be disappointed!

Horrible HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I never write reviews and I just had to write one for this owner. She’s is extremely rude. I can not believe she is still in business with her attitude towards her customers. I went in, and she was pushy from the start. She told my friend to shut up and said she was bad and didn’t know nothing when she was telling me the dress was a little too pricey (Which it was). Another customer was trying on dresses and she was yelling at the customers husband when he was just helping his wife giving his opinion on the dresses. I simply told Mimi that I loved the dress but it was barely my second store out of like 20 stores on that street and I wanted to see what my options were. I drove hours to this city, I didn’t just want to purchase the first dress I liked. I was pushed into writing my information on this paper to put down a deposit, and then said to pay cash only if I didn’t want to get taxed. I didn’t have cash so asked if I could go get cash and SHE WOULD NOT LET ME LEAVE. It was either tax me a bunch of money on top of overpricing me for the dress or no dress at all. She nearly snatched my debit card from my hand when she saw it. I asked one more time if I can please come back with cash and she wrote VOID in big letters on my paper and told me to leave. Really terrible person. Trust the reviews. Her personality is the worst! Don’t waste your money on this woman. Thank god I found the exact same dress for nearly half the price she was selling it for.
