The place is great. The atmosphere is how it should be— that stuff isn’t the problem. However, it only took one worker to completely make the experience worse. Long story short, my family received a snarky attitude for the sole reason of us looking at a whipped tallow and seeing the quality of it upon purchasing it. It’s one thing to not want anyone to open products like that in your store, and there are clear ways to make that known by leaving a dang sign up or something stating to not do that. Yet, why does it take a belittling attitude to make that clear? What’s the difference in opening a candle and sniffing it before you buy it? There isn’t one. I hope the worker who ended up losing business today continues to act like this, she’s only losing more business in the long run. If you want to go here for a calming experience, you have the wrong place. As I stated when I walked out, have a great day!

I was very disappointed in the customer service when I went in the Cupboard today. I was looking around at products when I came across the tallow face cream. Like any product that has a scent, I picked it up and opened it to smell it (I’m not going to buy a product that doesn’t have a good scent). The lady working snaps at me and says, “um that’s not a sample,” to which I respond, “yes ma’am I know, I was just smelling it.” The lady very hatefully walked over to where I was, snatched the tallow from where I’d sat it back down and says, “well now I can’t sell it because it’s been opened.” There was no sign anywhere in the store that says you can’t open a product or I never would have from the beginning. Very disappointing experience and I will not be going back.

There are lots of kitchen utensils, nice pots, and other useful utensils you can use in the kitchen. It's a really fun store to just browse through. You can also buy 1818Farms cream here.

I love this little shop in Decatur. Great selection of unique kitchen items, quality ingredients, and so much more. I have been getting spicewalla spices from here and I have loved them all. Just all around great shop to look for fun gifts whether for someone else of yourself

First time visitor to the store and was amazed by the quality of the things for sale and the customer service. Shout out to Ginger who was super helpful. Each item for sale is hand picked by the owners, so it’s obvious they care about the quality of what they sell and what they can offer to their customers. Some items can’t be found anywhere else in the greater Huntsville-Decatur area.

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I decided to visit. I was looking for a gift for a friend who enjoys cooking. Ginger was absolutely awesome. She gave me undivided attention the entire time I was there from the moment I walked through the door. She helped explain every single thing in the store and what it worked best with to help ensure that I picked the perfect gift. I can't say enough good things about this place. Honestly some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Ginger, thank you again.
