Sylvia was able to help me last minute with getting a qipao for the tea ceremony for my wedding. She had many patterns and colors available and the one I chose needed to be taken in a bit at the waist. She was able to make the alterations the same day and we picked it up a few hours later. We will definitely be returning in the future as she has so many beautiful colors and styles available other than the traditional red.

I had the pleasure of working with Sylvia on a custom Qi Pao wedding dress, and she was incredible. The entire experience was so special—she truly personalized the dress to match my vision while honoring tradition. It felt like working with a family member who genuinely cared. Sylvia is a true professional; I needed to have the dress altered a few times due to some weight changes, and she was always accommodating and quick. As someone who is half Chinese & half Italian, wearing the Qi Pao on my wedding day helped me feel deeply connected to my heritage. Thank you Sylvia, it was a joy. Sylvia is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with! She knows what she is doing and will give you all of her honest opinions on what works and doesn't work for your body. She takes pride in all of the qi pao's she makes. Even after four fittings later, she still felt that it was not perfect by her standards and told me to bring it back after my event so that she can ensure it meets her standards. Prices are very fair and well worth every dollar spent! You won't regret going to see her. Just make sure you set up an appointment! During a fitting appt that I had with her, there was someone who tried to do a walk-in and was very pushy about it, Sylvia stood her ground and said they would have to come back an hour later when she was available. She respects your time, so please respect hers as well! This is all to say, Sylvia is your person to make your qi pao!

Probably the only place in NYC that carries qipaos/ cheongsams, now that everything has moved online. Sylvia was very knowledgeable and carried a decent selection of qipaos for different occasions, including jackets for men. I enjoyed going in person to try out the styles. Everything is done in-house, including small alterations. Call ahead to make an appointment!

I got my graduation dress here and my experience was absolutely wonderful! The price was reasonable and the dress is high quality. I was given suggestions specifically for my proportions, and I felt that she really cared that I got the right dress for me. ☺️

Sylvia is an amazing seamstress and such a wonderful person! She's very personable which made the whole process great and the dress came out better than I ever expected. You can tell that it's made with care and thought as the fabrics she use are great quality and the dresses itself are crafted with expertise. If you're thinking about going don't even hesitate! She deserves all the business and praise for her wonderful qipaos.

Sylvia is wonderful. Her fabrics are beautiful and I found my qipao there. She was able to tailor it the same day which allowed me to save the trip from having to go back to pick it up. Be mindful she takes customers by appointment only.
