The staff and officers working there are courteous and friendly, however, If you are going to get a star ID or transfer your license to the state of Alabama be prepared to wait for hours and you have no guarantee of being seen even then. Whoever manages that department and decided to only have one person working it has no regard for anyone's time but their own. Horribly mismanaged.

Had a court appt with judge Minor today. Went very well, very happy with his ruling. He was very kind, understanding and took the time to see both points of view.

I also come here to get my license plates etc and usually have zero issues, never wait too long etc. I love coming here

Complete disaster! One person working has the worse attitude ! Seriously a rabid dog is way more friendly, does the bare minimum. Someone get Elon musk down here to fix this shit

I have attempted to get my star card multiple times now. The line is always lined down the hallway and they have one worker for licenses, permits, driving tests, name changes from marriages. How is this acceptable?! There's nowhere to park. I can't take off a full day from work to get this done. Thanks to the government for putting a hard date on having to have this completed. If only Pell City could get thier head out of thier asses and streamline this!

Where do i start? I took off work today and checked my child out to get her permit after being told over the phone to be there a certain time to be met there by a man saying we couldn’t be seen and to come another day with a dry none caring attitude not willing to help us at all. I am extremely disgusted and will not be returning here again. Thank goodness we drove to Shelby county where we were met with polite workers. Do not waste your time at the Pell City location!!!!

I gave this courthouse a score of 3 because I'm conflicted. The license plate crew were awesome, easy to work with and very helpful. Would have been a five rating.
The Driver's license employees were rude and disrespectful. I finally just walked out. I feel like they both hated their jobs. Would have been a one rating.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a government office. I’ve been waiting in my car in 96 degree weather for over an hour. When I called at the hour mark I was told “we just haven’t gotten to you yet” and then unprofessionally just not spoken to while I could hear others give their personal information over the line because I was confused as to whether she was going to speak again. I eventually hung up to preserve the privacy of the person who did not know I was listening.

I understand the virus changes circumstances, but this behavior is unbelievable.

Extremely rude staff in the DMV room. Asked if I could come in and she looked at me for like 5 seconds and said nothing. I then walked in to get closer to ask because of the "do not stand in doorway sign" and she yells at me to "get out!". So I waited and once I got in they were even more unprofessional and rude. Will be going to Ashville. Also one of the lady's working didn't know Ashville was part of St. Clair County.
Update: I went to Talladega and turns out Pell City lies about a bunch of stuff and doesn't do their research on their OWN JOBS!
