What a place to rent a tux from.. I was apart of a wedding and as wedding you try to match. When I’m spending 2-3 hundred dollars, I expect to match. My vest was blue in the front, black in the back. Everyone else’s vest was blue all round. I went into the south side location and dropped off the tux and expressed my concerns and was told someone would reach out to me. No one did. I showed back up 3 days later and was told by a balding looking Luigi from Mario brothers that basically we already got your money and the event is over so there is nothing we can do. If I’m not going to get 100% of the service I don’t expect to pay 100% of the price. I asked for 20% back was told no. I will be having a wedding in April of next year and after spending 700$ with Skeffington’s over the multiple weddings I’ve been apart of and all constant little problems I’ve had with them, I will not be having any of my grooms men rent a tux. If Skeffington’s goals is just get things close, I’d rather see my guys wear the black slacks they already have, their favorite black dress shoes, and buy a vest and tie/ bow tie and get for less than 2-300$ or atleast own it in the end. If you want perfection or customer services Skeffington’s is not the place to go.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, I needed to get my measurements taken for a costume and they helped me out right away, even with some complicated things they normally don’t do for suits. I’ve also purchased suits and tuxes from here before for choir and recital events, and I can confidently say they are a top notch staff at getting you exactly what you’re looking for at a comfortable fit. Lovely people

My husband rented a suite for a friends wedding. I brought it in to return the week after the wedding. A girl behind the counter took the bag, didn't look at it, and said we were all set.

Today we had a detective call us about a case of theft. Skeffington's claimed that we stole the suit and never returned it. We inform the officer that we absolutely returned it.

He calls back ten minutes later saying that Skeffington's found the suit and that the case was closed. Not sure why they went to the police before calling us about a suit we had already paid for and returned.

So unless you want to be accused of stealing by law enforcement, I can't say I recommend this business.

UPDATE: The owner has responded saying that they called us. That is untrue- we did not receive a single call from the business. Also, I'm unsure how you can go from telling the cops a suit is stolen and you don't know where it is, to knowing exactly where it is and when it was returned in the span of ten minutes. Maybe they should become detectives!

I dealt with Skeffington's from October 2021 to my wedding in April 2022. To say that it was frustrating is an understatement. It took several phone calls over a period of weeks to actually confirm that they had my wedding party on file. Then, when one of my groomsmen went to be fitted, they still could not find my party name.

Stephanie was the only individual that consistently knew what was going on at the store, but 50% of my calls went to her voicemail.

Overall, I would find a different placed to rent a tux. At $200+ each, the cost was a bit outrageous for the inconsistent service I received. The only thing preventing this from being a one-star review is that they were able to get me the correct tuxedos when the time came. However, it required a herculean effort on my part.

We came into Skeffington’s Friday afternoon totally panicked after picking up a tux rental from another company that didn’t fit for a wedding on Saturday. Steph helped us out & was an absolute godsend. We were in and out within an hour with a tux that fit perfectly. Thank you, Steph & Skeffington’s, for saving the day! We will definitely be back.

I do not recommend. My fiancé went in early march to purchase a suit for our wedding June 24th. He received a text in May saying his suit was in. We went in and he did not have pants and the vest he was measured for does not fit. It is about 3 weeks from our wedding now and we still don’t know whether the vest and pants will be here. I understand things happen but we’ve had no communication and no apologies.

Came to rent a tux for my friend’s wedding. Steph Gilbert at the SW 9th location assisted me and went well above and beyond expectations. She also helped me take advantage of some great deals on a couple of new suits and was patient and upbeat with me while I tried them out. Well worth the trip!

My husband and I had a formal event last night and we had procrastinated on acquiring appropriate attire up until the week before. I don't know much about formal wear so I was apprehensive about making sure Hubs got what he needed. This amazing woman, Stephanie Nation, had my husband suited up, sized, and we were out the door within 30 min. Another 24 hrs and the suit was tailored, cleaned, and ready for pick-up! Stephanie was so helpful, not at all pushy, and obviously knew exactly what she was doing. We will never go anywhere else as long as she is there to help us!
