I’m beyond disappointed with this fabric shop.
After last week I really wanted to spend my money locally and support a small business, but the attitude and unprofessionalism from these rude women have left me no choice but to head to Joann's instead.
I tried calling FIVE times to save myself a trip, yet no one ever answered. When I finally arrived—after a 15-minute hunt for parking—I walked in to find not a single customer, just three employees standing around. When I asked if they usually answer the phone, one casually replied, 'No, not typically.' Why on earth wouldn’t they answer the phone when a simple question could have saved me the hassle of coming in? I was so surprised by this uncaring response I didn’t even buy what I needed even though they had it. The lack of customer service is baffling and completely unprofessional. I’ll be sharing this experience with friends and will definitely be shopping elsewhere from now on. If you value your time and expect even basic service, look somewhere else.

Excellent quilting/sewing shop with a great selection of supplies. Great selection of notions for sashiko style stitching. Highly recommend!

This quilt shop is a gem - small but mighty! It’s packed with a beautifully curated collection of fabrics, panels and inspiring kits (embroidery samplers, sashiko, etc.). They sell both readymade fabric napkins (made in a gorgeous assortment of fabrics and reasonably priced for handmade linens) and easy-to-sew kits to help you master those mitered corners on your own. So glad I came across them on my trip to SLO. The woman working there was lovely and gave me a couple of great sewing tips!

I love this shop! Both of the owners are the nicest people, and just want to help people sew. They are a wealth of knowledge, and will answer any questions sincerely and without pretention, making one feel confident to ask for ideas and help. On top of all that, the selection of cloth is wonderful, the website is easy to use, and ordering for pick up is seamless.
I find that Picking Daisy's open and welcoming approach is rare. They don't have to do that extra bit to make you feel welcome, but they always do. They value themselves and their customers, and I respect that.

I stopped in over the weekend to introduce a friend to Picking Daisies and Kay and Dede. Like always, they were kind and wonderful. I always struggle to choose fabric because they carry such a wonderful collection. This is by far my favorite fabric shop on the Central Coast and Kay and Dede always make me feel like family.

I was extremely disappointed and felt very unwelcome in the shop. I cruised around as much as possible and was never greeted which is usually customary in a small shop. I was hoping to support a small quilt shop as i usually do on my travels. I couldn't see everything because two women were at the cutting counter blocking a portion of the merchandise. They were highly involved in conversation with the woman cutting so I chose to leave. The visit wasn't a complete loss as we enjoyed delicious food at Gorilla Quesadilla and delectable ice cream at Nite Creamery!
