I have used Pell City Pharmacy for many years. I noticed recently that my meds was running short, so I started counting them. Wouldn't you know I was short on pain meds. When I brought this to their attention they put me on hold and said they did a count and its was correct. It can't be because I was short 2 days of meds. Now looking for a new place that I can trust.

I am new to the area and was hoping to find a small local pharmacy, similar to the one that I have been using for years in my old town. This is not the one. I was recently diagnosed with cancer, I have Crohn’s disease, and the medication from that has given me multiple side effects. I called a few days ago (3 business days) and asked that my cancer treatment/ hormone replacement be filled as well as a medication for some side effects from the medication I take for Crohns. When I stopped by to pick up today, I was informed that I had no refills on one medication (not sure why I wasn’t told such while on the phone) and as for the other, I needed to reach out to my doctor for a 90 day prescription as Insurance was not covering. I may have stuck with them if the person at the window had of been something other than callous. When asked why I was not informed she just said she did not know and her expression was so blank, I thought that maybe she didn’t understand me so I repeated myself. Her reply was that “I didn’t write the note”, and basically it was not her problem. There was no explanation of the policy, no reassurance that this is not how they typically run their business, not even a hint of empathy. Typically, the pharmacy will reach out and get a prescription sent over for you without the patient having to do anything. It’s been 2 1/2 hours and Cvs has my new prescription, plus every other RX for myself and two daughters, for the next 18 years. If you wonder why small businesses fail, this is your prime example.

This pharmacy was the only one in town that had my medicine in stock, so I HAD to use them for first time. I believe I am a customer for life. As a New patient, I was in and out in minutes, everyone was so incredibly nice. I got an automated call on Sunday when they were closed thanking me for using them and hoping I come back. Wait? What? Customer service is alive and well at PC Pharmacy!

Tucker and company are simply top notch. Very friendly and welcome me by name when I walk in. I prefer an independent pharmacy for that very reason. That and to keep my money local. The drive thru is also very convenient.
