After hearing about Nellie Mae for years and seeing some online posts, I visited their physical location for the first time on 5/18/23. The store is absolutely beautiful and they have everything laid out very nicely. That being said, the 2 women working were as cold, unfriendly, and completely unhelpful as I believe I’ve ever encountered. I honestly was in shock with how rude and disinterested they were when I walked in and asked how they were and mentioned I had never been in before. There was no “can we help you find something specific” or a mentioning of their sale rack in the back, which I found on my own, and maybe my expectations are too high but I just figured since I was the only person in the store besides the employees that they would care more to try and make a sale or at least make me feel welcome. I decided not to let their attitudes keep me from looking around because although they came across I was not good enough to be in their store or presence or both, I had no reason to feel that way, so I did spend about 10 minutes looking around. They never spoke to me, even as I was leaving and said thank you. Nothing. Unpleasant atmosphere aside, the clothes seemed of good quality but they hardly had any dresses for summer, which was what I was looking for. It also seemed that the majority of their clothes were sizes small and medium which do not work for me. Maybe it was an off day for the ladies and for the selection.

Needless to say, I will not be back to shop with Nellie Mae for numerous reasons.

I’ve been a customer since they opened in 2011! They have the best customer service. Best shipping/pick up. The best prices. So grateful this store is apart of my community. Small town customer service with big city styles!!

Purchased a $50 calendar and I received the smaller candle that cost $33. Huge difference in size and cost. I am pretty disappointed they didn’t catch this while packing. The packing slip states and what so purchased : “3 wick candle in bowl” / I received a 1 wick, Christmas tree product. I have not heard back from Customer Service. The automated email also informs the customer:

We received your email and will get back to you with a (human) response as soon as possible. During business hours Monday - Friday 9AM - 4PM! Evenings and weekends may take us a little bit longer.

Absolutely LOVE this boutique!!!! Only place I get my clothes from or trust getting them from over an app or website!! The owners and employees alike are the absolute sweetest girls! Very fun and positive atmosphere forsure!!

This business only gives refunds as credits for their shody clothes. However, there is no way to actually use those credits on their website. Horrible business practices. I have reached out twice for help and have received no reply. Avoid this place and save yourself the trouble.

I absolutely love Nellie Mae. Good friend told me about NM about 4 months ago, purchased many items online and shipping was fast, items were perfect and the prices are amazing. I ordered a Xmas shirt and it was damaged when I received. Contacted customer service and had a refund the next day bc the item had sold out. Wonderful shopping experience!! If I am ever in Florence I will definitely be visiting.
