Got a couple treats from this shop a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

This place is located in a more residential part of Decatur. I was surprised to find it in the old Whisk'd location -- RIP to Whisk'd; I loved that restaurant. Street parking only but the street is quiet and it's easy to pop in and out.

Inside there's a huge array of confections: classic chocolates like turtles, chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows, etc., as well as fresh baked cookies and a somewhat startling amount of freeze dried candies. I know that's sort of having a moment right now, but WOW there was a lot of freeze dried stuff to choose from. I don't dislike it but I prefer chocolatey treats so I skirted around the big display.

I came about 1.5 hours before closing and will admit the selection (other than freeze dried) was a little sparse. I'm glad they're not letting products go to waste, but in the future, definitely come early if you want to ensure you get everything. More than one customer asked/called in for something only to be turned away while I was shopping around. Of course, the holidays might also have something to do with very high demand.

Anyway, I wound up leaving with two cookies (only about four varieties were available when I arrived -- I took a chocolate chip and a brown butter cookie), three chocolate covered pretzels, and one pecan turtle. The service was limited to being rung up at the cash register, but the employee was nice in our limited interaction.

My husband and I enjoyed all the treats over the following days! The chocolate was smooth and rich on pretzels and pecans, the caramel chewy and satisfying. The pecans and pretzels were both crispy and fresh -- no problems with staleness here.

The cookies were good, too, though perhaps a tiny touch oily. I liked the brown butter better but both were enjoyable! They're the perfect size to share.

I'd definitely return here for sweets!

Stopped by today and grabbed some yummy treats after a well check Dr appointment!!! So many options to choose from. All the flavors we have tried have been amazing. Staff was nice. Store is absolutely beautiful!!

Incredible homemade candies. No lunch options now, but grab unique homemade candies. They make things revolving around the holiday moment so you can share real food instead of corporate junk. Chocolate covered peanut butter mashed on a chocolate cookie was fight worthy. Fun stuff like Mystery Meat, looked like hamburger with worms but was some candies in red rice Krispy--and then grown up chocolates as well. Be the cool g-pa or aunt and load up here or take them. Milkshakes are REAL

This is an amazing place for lunch with friends...and don't forget to place your order for parties and special occasions. You can even have baskets of sweets made! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Melissa is a wonderful owner who really cares about her business. Lots of options on the menu and I love their salads! You won't be disappointed with Mel's!

Poor customer service. Literally blocked my friend just bc she called multiple times and y'all wouldn't answer to place an order. Absolutely disgusting of the owner to do that to their customers. I will never spend my money here again.

Stopped by to pick up some cookies and OMG they were so delicious. Staff was so so sweet! I highly recommend her.. The only complaint I have is the parking. Not enough and you have to park on the road.

The best cookies around. So much better than Crumbl and you can't beat the price. The browned butter cookies and strawberry shortcake cookies are the best.
