Edward Mike Brown is very unprofessional. We signed a contract back in June 6 2020, he promised to have a 4 phase project complete in 30 days plus or minus rain days, so i gave him an extra 10 days for a total of 45 days.

Upon signing contract and agreement, mike demanded that we pay him up front for materials that he need to buy, he was suppose to start phase which includes building a stage, dry walling two door, four holes, paint and blend everything together. Lay down flooring on stage, lay stone on the front and steps of the stage.

After mike got the wrong stone 2 times he said he was not going to get the stone unless we paid extra money or we could go and get yourself. This is after we paid up front already, even though the contract stated that whatever material that where used as in flooring, carpet, tile etc had to be agreed upon by both parties and any expenses outside what was already agreed on in the contract would also have to be agreed upon before purchasing. But mike bought items any way outside the agreement.

He kept breaking the stone we had ordered and said we had have cheap material. When asked why it was taking so long he replied, "do you know how to do this kind of work, no?, i didn't think so and "do you want to cut the stone".

Mike brown would take many days off without coming to finish this project even though there was a clear and defined time line to completions by the contract.

He would say he was coming in and then be a no show. With no explanation even though the contract expressed the importance of communicating with us.

When he was confronted about incomplete on and subpar work, mike would just make excuses and or not answer any of my phone calls or texts. He dump grout on a well maintained, fully manicure lawn and flower Bed , right in the front yard which was a clear violation and termination of the contract that was signed. Mike Brown violated Multiple violation of the contacts. Every milestone was missed by Mike Brown.

He was suppose to lay tile, carpet, paint two offices and a common area, build a stage , seal and re do ceiling, in sanctuary, put iron railing in 45 days. He a as suppose to start june 6 but didn't not start till 8 june.

Finally after all the above plus more and now aug 6 and the only thing that is started but not complete is a subpar, unstable, defaced stage for a total of less than 5% of the total contracted project started, not complete. Aug 5th were forced to make a police report of the situation.

Oddly after one week of no communication or seeing him, mike decides to show up on aug 6, meets with me and the police. On this day we are 60 days in or june 6 to August 6. Mike is fussing and cussing and making excuses about why it takes so long, not considering the fact that mike has "40 years of experience". The police tell mike to stop being loud and cursing. At which point I gave
Mike 3 choices.

A) He could finish the stage in 3 days days or less no harm no fowl and let him out the contract or B) pay us back half the money we paid him upfront [ even though the signed contract stated 75% if work was not complete and have to have another contractor finish his work] or C) we can go to court for breach of contract.

Mike Brown chose option C and the police saw him off the premises. From day one mike said he has never walked of a job and that he does exceptional work with his 40 years of experience but yet he has walked of this job after all the over looked violation he committed.

Later that day mike contacted me at 1:52pm and again at 4:02pm saying
"You are one sorry piece of art work . you would have been one of the fitst ones we shot in the jungels you are not a solder".

I am a retired combat veteran and I took this as a threat, however the courts did not. As 6 August 2020 i have a civil case on Mike Brown and do not recommend him to any or my worst enemy.

Now the work is not done, we have to get and lay another contractor, and we have to go court to recoup our funds we lost.

If I could put pictures up here then they would tell the story
