I had multiple tattoos done on friday the 13th (9/13/24) that ended up looking horrible. I gave some slack because they were done by an apprentice and she was nervous with such a big event. I then came in 10/20/24 to get them touched up, only to leave with tattoos that were WORSE than before and already blowing out less than 24 hours later. Both artists that worked on me were heavy handed to the point i almost had to ask the second one to stop as he was working on my wrist. I will never be back here. The only good experience i had with this place is that everyone was extremely nice. Attached photos are before and after the touch ups

Edit, response to owner: I understand i should have expressed that i was still unhappy with my tattoos, however, i could not be reasonably asked to let this shop continue trying to correct the issue when the only thing that was done was re-outlining the same lines done by the apprentice. While this may have worked for the outline cat and the ghost with the balloon, it did nothing but make the other ghosts gun and filled in cat less detailed and more likely to blow out in the following months/ years. I appreciate that you all were willing to try to fix them for free but that does not negate the fact that the owner who did the touch ups should have known they would start blowing out at the very minimum. I even specifically said that i wanted the gun and filled in cat more defined because they were uneven and/or the lines were already starting to bleed together. Once again, i do really appreciate how nice you all are and that you offered to fix them free of charge, but i was not willing to let your owner (who’s name i dont know because there was no introduction from him) continue to put more ink into lines that were not going to hold their shape.

It's been about 7 years since my last tattoo, but I've had the itch for some new ink all year. Dee at Magic City Ink was recommended by not 1 but 2 of my friends so I knew when I did make a decision, this is where I'd go. I reached out on Facebook that morning, spoke about a time to come by and there was no wait when I got there. I showed Dee my idea and told him whatever he felt needed to be tweaked, just do it. It was a small piece and he stenciled it up, and had it done before 4 of my favorite songs were finished playing. He was so nice, professional and really down to earth. I LOVE my new ink... the perfect birthday gift to myself. Not sure when I'll get the new ink itch again, but I know where I'll be going. And if it's not me coming, it'll be someone I refer. Thanks again & again!

Absolutely the best place to go! Dee has done a lot of tattoo work for my wife and I, and he he always surpasses any expectations we have!

I always show my ideas to Dee and ask for his input and what artistic changes he recommends, and he truly has eye for bringing designs to life. I get compliments on my tattoos at least a few times a week and I'm always happy to refer people to Magic City Ink. He is truly an exceptionally talented artist and I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. Can't recommend him highly enough!

I went to the Friday the 13th sale this past Friday, I would like to start off by saying everybody there is SUPER nice. It was a fun little party with music and a snow cone truck was there too! I was very excited for this. Was taken to my room to have my tattoo done, and when it was finished it looked absolutely nothing like the image or stencil. I asked the lady to fix it a few times and she did, but the tattoo still just came out so wrong. I was ready to go home and cry, because it’s in a very visible spot. Luckily for me, the owner did fix it as much as he could. It looks a hundred times better than it did but it’ll never be the original image. I’m very non-confrontational and don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings, but now I’m stuck with something on my body that looks like I did it myself. I added a picture of what it was supposed to look like, how it came out, and how someone fixed it the best he could. I’m very happy he was willing to take the time to fix it even though there was a line at the door, but all together I wish I never went.

Magic City Ink is by far my favorite tattoo shop. It has an awesome vibe and the owner, Dee, makes you feel like family. Dee is an awesome tattoo artist. He’s super attentive and detailed. I always leave satisfied and excited to show off my new ink. The placement of my tattoos are in painful areas and Dee was prepared with all the things needed to reduce the pain while he worked on the tattoo. The whole process was swift and enjoyable. I will definitely be back!
