We're extremely happy with the table and chairs we purchased from JK Creative Wood. The quality is unlike anything you'll ever find in a retail store, and we were able to design the table based on what we wanted in terms of wood type, stain, number of people we wanted to seat, etc. The end result is gorgeous. Karma did a great job of guiding us through the process, answering our questions, and keeping us updated on progress. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love everything we have purchased. We wanted a very specific size of table (smaller rectangle table that sits 4 but expands to 8). They listened and had it built exactly like we wanted. Loved it so much we ordered chairs to match for our kitchen counter. Prices are very reasonable for heirloom quality hand crafted furniture.

From beginning to end, our experience was great. Karma was so knowledgeable about everything. She made sure we understood the different options (who knew there was so much to know about different types of woods, the grains, the stain, etc.) We never felt pressured to purchase. When we did decide to purchase the table and chairs we were very comfortable in our decision. Joel and Riley did a great job delivering and setting up the table. The table and chairs are solid and very high quality.

JK Creative Woods is a beautiful home decor gallery in Kalona Iowa, well worth a visit!

We had been looking for additional chairs to match our 20+ year old Amish dining room set purchased from a long gone retailer and noticed chairs that were similar to ours at the gallery. Chatted with Karma about what we wanted, sent photos of our set once we got back home and she then researched the stain (a discontinued color), found a craftsman that might be able to replicate the originals and quoted a price. We placed a custom order and just picked up the chairs this week. They turned out great!

While it would be impossible to fabricate an exact match from photos (which we understood up front) and it took a while for the process to play out, the finished product is exceptionally close to our existing set, and now we have the chairs we need for our family gatherings. Couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. Thank you very much!

Super friendly staff. Glass viewing area to watch the craftsmen / craftswomen. Wood items from $10 and up. . . and. . Up. . .
They did have $3 carved USA states. . Quite beautiful.

The show room was very well set up and our purchase was done without any problems. I was concerned about shipping a large dining room table and 4 chairs and having them arrive unscathed. I have never seen such careful packing. Our dining room set was shipped from Iowa to the west side of Oregon and changed trucks 3 times. Very happy with the quality of their product and the care the took getting it to us.

We have bought several decorative items from JK over the last couple of years, and they are all beautiful and of the highest quality. This year we purchased a custom, handmade bedroom furniture set from them. We couldn't be happier with it. These pieces are sure to become family heirlooms. The owners take great pride in the quality of their pieces and provide top-notch customer service. If you are in the area, you must check out JK. If you are NOT in the area, make a special trip! It's an easy drive from Iowa City and well worth it.

I recently placed an order with JK Creative Wood. I called them because I had some questions about the items I was ordering. I spoke to Karma, who was very friendly and helpful. When I received my order, I was more than pleased. I had relied on her to choose appropriate woods to use for a clipboard. She picked some beautiful woods, and the personalization was perfect. I also ordered 3 pairs of earrings, which also surpassed my expectations. These people obviously take pride in their work, and it shows. I would recommend this store to everyone, for unique and beautifully made items. I'm sure I'll be ordering again.
