I’m so impressed with this lumber mill! Robert and Martha are extremely knowledgable and costumer friendly. Just recently bought some poplar to build a large live edge table top and was so pleased with the experience. They have a wide selection of beautiful wood to choose from and even re-planed the wood for me to ensure that all 3 slabs would join seamlessly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for specialty wood for their project.

As a hobby woodworker, I love this place. My dad was a carpenter by trade and did woodworking projects for projects for years. They’ve got lots of local and exotic hardwoods for all types of applications at very reasonable prices. The folks there know their hardwoods and they’re friendly and helpful.

Best place in the south and probably the east coast to get lumber. All the wood is prepared with the finest equipment and utmost care. No detail is overlooked. Robert and Martha are the sweetest folks as well. I recently moved to Georgia and soon realized that nothing compares to Hobby Hardwood. Everything is organized, clean, and fair. The selection and variety of wood is quite remarkable considering this is not a large scale commercial operation. I was at Peach state lumber in Georgia and can tell you that the walnut from them is not the same as the walnut from Robert and Martha. The same goes for the slabs. Everything here is really easy to sift through and inspect whereas as other places you have to bend down which is a pain in the back for sure. Never discount attention to detail. Hobby Hardwood is all about the details and the experience. Check them out. It’s worth the drive of you live far away.
