My feelings are very mixed with them. I have my flooring done by them and up until recently, my experience had been wonderful. I moved into my house just last november, but withing the last few months, i noticed my carpet in my front room had literally lifted from up under the baseboards. then as I checked throughout the same room, the carpet was lifting in other areas. Additionally, the entryway kept catching on either the door, or it too wasnt installed properly and started wearing. I put in a warranty request through my builder, and keep being told that my carpet isnt covered by gene's. How we didnt pull this carpet from up under the baseboards, the home is still brand new. They keep saying it "wasnt noted upon acceptance of the home" but that is NOT what the warranty states. Ive been trying my best not be nasty, ive even offered at one point to just have the carpet fixed, but to pay 400 to have it redone for a small bedroom is insane! Now im stuck with this carpet looking like this. Unfortunately, Ill be shopping somewhere else locally to hopefully have my carpet fixed or just have to fix it myself.

Genes Flooring did all our tile work and lvp flooring in our new home. Jessica was wonderful to work with and helped us pick out the right colors. We then added a backsplash to our bar area after our house was finished. Everything was done beautifully and professionally. Jessica gave me some samples to take home to see what worked best. The work was beautiful and we get a lot of compliments. Attached is a picture of a section.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Gene’s Flooring. Jennifer was a tremendous help in picking out the tile and creating the designs. The installers worked long hours to complete the job in a timely manner, and they did a fantastic job tiling the shower, including a beautiful mosaic, and floors! They are absolutely gorgeous! Even the measuring guy was wonderful to work with! Communication was excellent from start to finish! I highly recommend Gene’s Floor Covering!

Much like others, we have had a horrible experience. We purchased a new home, and Gene's Flooring did the vinyl plank as well as the tile installation. Atrocious for both!! Stepped on a piece of flooring in the dining room and it slid apart right under my foot. It is peeling and scratching as if it were an 20 year old floor not 8 months (that is the current age...has been doing this since move in 8 mos ago). The grouting of almost all tile work looks like a kindergartener did it, and I have no words for the shower insets.

We had a representative come to our home with the builder to go over the issues. 5 weeks later and three follow ups from us, and I cannot get any work moving forward let alone a response other than we are working on it. Worst of all to me is the cavalier attitude and no accountability.

Tried calling the store this morning, and the call immediately was put on hold. Waiting to get to speak with a person (which never happened...I gave up), I had plenty of time to read reviews, so I know that my experience is not an isolated incident. How disappointing to buy a brand new home and have the experience marred by a completely lack of quality, concern and follow up. If you have a choice in who performs work in your home, I implore you to steer clear of Gene's Floor Covering II in Gulf Shores, AL!!

If you need flooring or tile work Genes Floor Coverings in Gulf shores is the place to go. We needed new floors and from sales to the installation they made the process so easy. Lorie Evans helped us with picking out the perfect floor and the installation team was the best. They cleaned as they went. Very friendly, professional, and would highly recommend

The installers urinated in my bathtub during install process! I write this in shock and disgust. We had items stored in the large soaking tub in master bath and covered to avoid dust while tile was removed. Toilets were also removed for tile removal. Apparently, instead of going downstairs to public restroom in condo, the men urinated in the tub onto items stored there and then ran tub to cover it up. When we went to remove luggage, golf bags, wicker baskets, rugs and files with tax returns from tub there were yellow urine stains on everything. Additionally multiple walls and paint on walls and doors were damaged during the tear out process. Prior to contracting with this company, James made multiple visits to the store and met with Russell to assure supervision on site and to be clear on leveling expectations. There was no supervision for the 5 days of work. No follow-up or post inspections as promised. Floor leveling was improperly done, shoe molding not nailed down, miter joints were not nailed, closets were not complete, a big gash in new floor installed in kitchen caused when refrigerator set back into place, etc. We still can't get anyone to come to see the damage this company caused in our home. I feel violated and sickened. Stay away from this company!
