Phil was a great help. He set me up with and soap stone wood stove for my new home. The installation went smoothly. There was a delay with the estimate before hand but everyone gets busy at times. Overall I’m quite pleased with the product and installation.

I was looking for a local company to fix my businesses realfrye G21 Contemporary Burner and they seemed professional in the beginning. Had a Sales Rep come out, look at the unit and said they would get back to me in a couple weeks with a quote to replace the unit. A month went by and heard nothing. A follow up phone call went out and the CEO picked up and said I would have a response within that day. Received an email the following day from the Sales Rep mentioning everything would have to be replaced and I replied to the email asking additional questions. Once again heard nothing for a week and gave them a call back. Luckily behold the CEO picked up again and said they haven't carried the realfrye brand for years and it’s not on their website.

Well the CEO should look at their website because it shows that brand and other area businesses say they get the parts from Fox Valley Stone & Brick. This is probably the first time I have ever given a company a one star and don't appreciate a business lying.

not sure why there’s so many negative reviews for this place, but I was just here and the staff was helpful and friendly. the guy even loaded the bricks I ordered into my car for me in this extremely cold weather. would recommend 🙂

When you buy brick they put the return policy right on the slip, it says "No returns on stone veneer, natural stone or special orders" but that is a lie. They don't take returns on loose brick either. They don't say they don't but they refuse to take it back. When you have a return policy you should honor it.

Customer service is non-existent. Never upheld their commitments to call me back with status updates, for weeks! Forgot to order the frame for my new gas fireplace. Been over six weeks, wires hanging out, ugly fireplace now for holidays and several family events. It’s been a very frustrating experience. Wish I would have gone with another company we checked out, but we wanted to stay local in Neenah. Never again.

Their in-home service is 5-star, as the gentleman who serviced our fireplace two years ago was really nice and had great feedback about ongoing care for the fireplace. Unfortunately, the rating is dragged down by their office support, which is frustrating. Called 8/12 to inquire with someone about getting an estimate on a gas fireplace chimney repair; said our system was too old for them to have records anymore (they installed in 2006). Unfortunately, I didn't get the person's name but he said he'd have to talk to someone else and call me back. Never did.

Skip ahead to 8/26 when I submitted the same inquiry via their website. Actually got a response from a gal just over an hour later indicating our fireplace was too old to get parts and they'd need to re-vent the ENTIRE fireplace (from roof to fireplace inside the home!!!) While she DID nicely confirm my damages (I sent a photo of the issue I was inquiring about repair on) were just aesthetic, I was shocked that any further work on the chimney would require so much work. I responded back to her just confirming the re-vent statements, to which she replied that any chimney work for our fireplace would require a re-vent. Simply looking to know *why*...like...in some form of detail, I reasonably asked if the piping was unique or something that required a re-vent.

No response after that or since. Although it turns out she was telling the truth about any work on our fireplace chimney piping requiring full replacement, I had to get the actual, reasonable explanation from Darboy Stone & Brick instead, who actually called me on the phone explaining why piping is unique by fireplace, manufacturer, etc. They also offered some additional suggestions for future issues if the arise.

-1 star for not following up with me the first time
-1 star for ghosting me once I asked "why"

Will still consider them in the future as a secondary or tertiary bid on service or sales, and maybe have better luck then.

Wow! Is there something that makes all those segments of pipe unique solely to the type of cap that protrudes from the roof? Seems like a lot to do in such a situation.

Possible that I for some reason didn't receive a response to that. Last email I got was from 11:01 AM that day when "S" responded confirming I had to replace all the venting; which is what I my reply above was for after that.

Great support and customer service. For a new brick light post in front of our house, we needed to match 20 year old existing brick. Kevin was very helpful, exploring options and finding an exact match from their yard at a very reasonable price. Project turned out great, including matched brick for a step on our patio. Prompt and responsible, very helpful.

My husband was a contractor. He has used this company for several small jobs. They seemed knowledgable and had what we thought was quality. So when the time came we went to them for stone to build our patio. They sold us some gorgeous slate. We followed the directions to the letter. Initially we were thrilled. Then winter came. The next spring it started to break apart. Every year I watch large chunks disintegrate. I am so disgusted and outraged. They sold us product that is not durable to our area. They took our money knowing this would happen. Stay away. If you want an ethical company, then this isn't it. What really ticks me off is that we had initially been looking at limestone and we were talked out of it. That would have lasted.
