We recently visited this business while shopping for a wood stove, and at first, the experience seemed promising. The initial meeting was positive, with a thorough presentation of the product and a quote provided. They came out for an inspection and took measurements, and everything went smoothly during the visit. However, after that, things went downhill. We were told we would receive an updated quote in a day or two after a minor adjustment, but after several weeks of no communication, we began reaching out. Unfortunately, every time we called, we were told someone would call us back, but no one ever did. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this business, as the lack of follow-up and customer service has been extremely disappointing.

Awful communication. Went into the store and spoke with Larry and ended up getting a preliminary quote. He then came out the following week to look over the chimney to see if that changed the quote at all. It did change the quote and we understood that getting the chimney cleaned would be needed prior to installation and he said it would take a day to do the job but his guy could do it. After Larry left, we didn’t hear from him for over 2 weeks after multiple attempts to reach him to get the updated quote. He was always in a meeting on the phone and would never return our calls. We finally received an email with basically the same quote but he added we need to source another company to get the chimney cleaned in order for the stove to be put in. I definitely don’t recommend Chim Cherie’s House of Fireplaces.

I recently worked with Janean with thr ChimCherie main office. We have an older gas fireplace that was not working properly. Janean located online the fireplace and remote owners manuals and suggested a few possible fixes. With her help and using the manuals as a resource, the fireplace now works properly.

I am grateful for her cordial and patient assistance.

We recently converted a wood-burning fireplace to a gas insert and had a wonderful experience working with Larry, Thomas and Michelle. They had great communication, competitive prices and quick, professional installation. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Chim Cherie again in the future.

The in home consultation allowed me to see what my replacement would look like and I was able to make adjustments that made the final result perfect! I just had the most amazing experience with Thomas and Heather from Chim Chim Cherie's House of Fireplaces. I was told two years ago by a service man from a major heating and cooling company that I would need to have a brand new direct vent gas fireplace. Thomas and Heather came in and Thomas cleaned my unit and got it working again all for just a service call! I will not be doing business with anyone but Chim Cherie regarding my fireplace from now on! These people are fabulous!

We had Chim Cherie recommended to us, after we had attempted to do some research ourselves, and shopping locally. We could not be more pleased with both the quality and service. We ended up choosing a Lopi wood stove insert, and it is fantastic. Our den has become everyone's favorite room in cold weather. The whole process, from initial consultation through installation was informative, courteous, efficient and professional. Larry and team do an outstanding job, you won't go wrong choosing them!

I would never recommend this company to anyone. We purchased a fireplace from them and had it installed. Right away we had issues with it. And we were told to go to our local heating and plumbing dealer to have it fixed. It was still under warranty!!!! He told us he could make more money having his guy stay in Des Moines. We had it fixed and then sent him the bill (it was warranty work).He said he would not pay for the mileage which made since except he was going to take out mileage from Des Moines and back not our local place. After trying to call him multiple times and being told he was out or in a meeting, i finally called the receptionist out on this and told her to stop letting him make her the middle man and lie to customers. When i finally talked to him i argued with him for over an hour. He finally said, "what will it take to get you off the phone!" I said pay the bill! I then proceeded to tell him if he did not I would report him to the Better Business Bureau which in return said this would not be the first time. That being said after a few years we have to replace the product we bought from him because we were told it was installed incorrectly and it was too dangerous to use. Please save your money and go to someone that is reliable! This place is a scam!
