Our new closets are great! Really, when you get bids and meet with local offices of options for closets, meet with the Corona Del Mar design team. At our house, our designer took the extra time to listen to not only what we wanted, but asked a lot about how we'd use it. We had removed all of our reach-in closets about 6 years ago, leaving just the shells, and when it was time to finally get the work done, we picked California Closets after getting two other bids. Price was in the middle but they were the ones who suggested a much different approach for our small walk-in master. Not putting in large box type units made all the difference in making the small space feel larger. The installers were here for four days and the work is fantastic. They filled in some spaces on the sides I wasn't sure they could! I could go on but I'll let the pics speak for themselves. We both work at home and wanted something we could display items behind us on video calls, while still setting the house up for future use by a family that needs the space. And the blue drawers for the craft room really look amazing! Did I mention the coffee bar that was another unused downstairs reach-in?

I absolutely love our new closets and wished I would have looked into getting them sooner! Being an old house, we have super small closets. Naturally I thought of California closets due to brand recognition and assumed they would be the most expensive. I got 3 quotes and they were by far the best quality and had comparable price points. Our sales rep Emily is fantastic. She guided us to our prefect closet. Highly recommend.

If I could give 10 stars I would. This was the most gorgeous thing we could have done with my office. ABSOLUTELY everything about this process was top notch, from start to finish. Meeting with Haley our designer, in our home, then the Corona Del Mar office where we could pick out the wood, the hardware, the lighting. She showed us many renderings and we picked the best composition for our budget. The installation was SEAMLESS and perfect. I LOVE MY OFFICE.

I am so pleased with my new closet organization systems. Design consultant, Erika May, helped me design the master and two additional bedroom closets. I really appreciated her willingness to work around my limited schedule and offer to design on site with me. This really sped up the process and allowed me to consider options that I wouldn't have had she taken measurements and sent me layouts. Erika was so helpful even lending me clothes racks prior to my install so I could move all my clothes/belongings out of three closets. My install team, Byron and Lucero, were equally amazing in their customer services and workmanship. I highly recommend California Closets, Erika May for design support and my install team! She was so helpful and has amazing taste to take what our inspiration was and also suggest different things. She had great communication and called us the day it was installed to make sure we were happy.

I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with California Closets. My reach-in closet was supposed to be completed by August 15th, but everything has been messy. First, the design was wrong, and they asked me to remove my brand-new baseboards, which I wasn't willing to do. Then, the drawers were missing, and no one informed me. They rescheduled for today, and once again, the drawers are still missing, and no one knows when they will arrive.

To make matters worse, I was supposed to have a valet rod, but that's missing, too. One of the poles to hang clothes needs to be securely placed. The structure's sizing was wrong, and they added a sideboard to cover up the discrepancy on one end, which looks ridiculous. The design is overly busy and not what I envisioned at all. There are exposed screw holes and incomplete caulking left gaps between the wall and closet unit. My freshly painted walls were nicked up.

On top of that, the worker was utterly unprofessional. He spent time on the phone arguing with someone from the company about how he better get a lunch break and refused to go to another job. He even told the person on the phone to fire him! He didn't clean up after himself, had an attitude when I asked him to add more caulking to cover a gap, and left without addressing any other issues.

Adding to my frustration, I recently discovered that the designer responsible for my project was dismissed months ago. This revelation has cast doubts on the company's internal organization and ability to manage projects effectively.

Given the issues I have encountered, I deeply regret my decision to engage California Closets for this project. And to top it all off, the cost is outrageous for the level of service I've received. If I had known about all these issues beforehand, I would never have done business with California Closets.
