I’m a Balenciaga customer, and I gotta say, my shopping experience at their store was chef’s kiss. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was nothing but classy and top-tier.

The staff? Literally so nice and super friendly. They weren’t just helpful—they were like your personal hype squad. Whether it was about finding the right size or just answering random questions, they were patient and made sure I felt like a VIP.

The store setup? Mad aesthetic. Everything was laid out so you could browse without feeling overwhelmed. Shopping here isn’t just about buying stuff; it’s like a whole experience.

For sure coming back—Balenciaga, you’ve got me hooked!

Balenciaga stores offer a sleek, minimalist design and a high-end shopping experience. The space showcases bold, avant-garde fashion, blending streetwear with luxury. Customer service is professional but may feel reserved. While prices are high, the store is ideal for those seeking unique, statement-making pieces. Overall, it’s a great destination for fashion-forward shoppers.

I visited the store yesterday to look at their merchandise, but instead of having a pleasant experience, I was discriminated against. A male employee rudely commented on my English, saying it was broken. Who does that? It's incredibly hurtful and uncalled for.

The experiences from these reviews are definitely a hit or miss. If you want to shop at Balenciaga in the Bay Area, I’d advice you to book an appointment with specific SA’s and I’d suggest specifically asking to work with Evander or Erwin; they’re super sweet and cool people!

I was lucky enough to do a walk in although being a really young, practically fresh into university, customer at Balenciaga. I was able to work with a lovely SA named Evander. After that, I grew a lot closer with him and the team there, stopping by and just hanging out with them.

It kind of sucks for other potential clients to not get the same treatment as I did, but for future practices, try booking an appointment since it’ll be easier and you do not have to gamble your experience.

The first time I went here I def started to appreciate / understand the brand balenciaga cause I loved their LA runway show. After saving a lot of money I decided to come to this store and try on some new stuff. I was walking around but one particular SA gave me a weird look and acted kinda stuck up.it lowkey made me feel like, “ the rumors are true about all designer stores”. Although I repeatedly said yes I already made an account, this person said yeh… “you need to make a new account”… and in my head I was confused. Was it my outfit, was I not believable… , was it cause I didn’t look like I didn’t have money At the end of the day I ended up getting the item I wanted but I was not satisfied due to the customer service. It wasn’t until I ended up paying when this person said, “oh nvm”… like come on man seriously. The fact that you judge me from the start already makes you look like a bad person.
Second time I went a SA by the name of Evander was super super chill and informed me about every single piece that I glanced at. Did not judge me for what I was wearing and made me feel comfortable. I was hesitant to come to the store again but Evander definitely made me love the brand even more. He is a great person, authentic, and will help you even if you just want to try on clothes. There were two other people that helped him as well. The Asain male complimented me and made me feel confident and not so choked up. The other male was standing on the side making sure all my questions were answered. Evander also updated me every week about upcoming drops, sales, and just being a good sales associate.
In this day and age, I truly believe that it’s more than just clothes. It’s about connections and how you treat people. No matter what kind of background you’re from, how you look, we should all be able to be treated the same. I believe Clothes brings people together and you can def share a deep connection. But when you have one person that constantly chokes people, is judgmental, and just looks like an asshole, get that person outta there. I know this is just a review but what’s the point of treating people bad in the first place. Millionaire people wear normal clothes and drive normal car.
Huge shoutout to Evander for just being a normal human being, for being a good sales associate. Will be doing business with you more man!

I walked into this store today. Horrible customer service and experience. All of them are standing around silently when I walked in. One lady (asian girl) greeted me and she seemed nice at first, but once I started to have a conversation with her about the oversized sneakers and if they can be worn while driving she gave me a rude stuck up response and said, "the shoes are a fashion shoe and that I should wear a different shoe when driving and switch into the balenciaga's when I arrive to my destination" LOL why even spend the money then?
She was breathing down my neck trying to sell me anything I looked at, it felt so fake especially when I walked out with nothing. To the manager of this store, please train your employees how to provide customer service. If anything. that kind of attitude will lower your sales. P.S. this is coming from a corporate customer service supervisor.

Disheartening Racism Experience at Balenciaga, Westfield San Jose

I visited the Balenciaga store at Westfield Mall in San Jose on October 13th with my family, including my aunts who are in their 60s and were wearing sarees. Unfortunately, we experienced a shocking incident of disrespect and racism from a staff member. As we were leaving the store, we overheard one of the employees mocking us, that we were “stinking".

Additionally, the same staff member didn’t allow us to freely look at the bags. He told us in an arrogant tone not to move the bags and insisted we ask him if we wanted to check a specific one. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Despite our attempts to address this behavior directly, the staff refused to make eye contact. It was disheartening to see that other staff member nearby did not intervene or offer support.

If Balenciaga expects to cater only to a specific type of customer, then why do they have a store in a public mall? This kind of treatment is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the brand. I hope that management takes this matter seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.

If you need a proof, you can check your store cameras on Oct 13th around 4:30 PM.

I recently purchased 11 different pairs of Balenciaga shoes in various sizes and went to the store to check how they fit. The worker was constantly breathing down my neck, repeatedly asking what size I was, even though I had bought all of them in different sizes (I had looked up the sizing and it varied for each shoe). I wish they would stop yelling at me and just leave me alone. While I was looking at a hoodie (the sticky note hoodie) and inspecting the material, which was waxed paper, she yelled at me to not touch it. They assumed that because I was young, I wasn't eligible to purchase any Balenciaga items and treated me like I was in daycare. This experience makes me not want to purchase any more items from Balenciaga.
