My family member purchased a new freezer from Ray’s. Ray’s delivery fee was more expensive than other local stores but we were willing to pay extra because of their agreement to remove the old freezer.
They would not take the old freezer as agreed but promised they would come back a different day once ice had melted to make it lighter. They then called us stating they would not be removing the old freezer and would refund 1/3 of delivery fee.
Since they wouldn’t remove the freezer and honor their side of the agreement, we wanted to cancel the order but they would charge a restocking fee. We would have never bought from them if the removal wasn’t part of the agreement. Ray’s broke the agreement and should either cancel the order at no charge or refund the entire delivery/removal fee but they will not do either. Very disappointed in this local business. We recommend shopping elsewhere.

In February 2022 I bought a Maytag refrigerator freezer side-by-side with a water dispenser and automatic ice maker at Ray's Appliance for $1555. 6 weeks later, it needed to be replaced because it stopped working! Now two years later the refrigerators' compressor died. The repair technician from Ray's was able to tell me what's wrong for $106, but wasn't able to replace the R600 compressor because he doesn't have the skill to fix it. I found a technician that could, for $850! Ray's would cover the condenser cost, but what good is it when they don't have a technician that has the skill to replace it? Just make sure when you're buying an appliance that the business has technicians that can work on their products. And even though Maytag has a good name, my experience doesn't support the reputation. An all-around frustrating situation.

I just want to say you shouldn’t go ANYWHERE else to buy your appliances. My salesman and the team were amazing. I got a dishwasher and I had an issue, and they fixed it, no problem. The tech JR, is also amazing and so knowledgeable ( NAVY vet! ). I am so satisfied with my service! Also, shout out and thank you to Kim in service! Thank you!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2014 from Rays. The frig started making a strange noise so I called them to have a look. Dave showed up, diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary parts and within a week, the frig is as good as new. Dave even vacuumed the coils out for us. We love doing business with Rays. Top notch service always.

Used to be 5 stars, now they get a 2 at best from me. I had to pay $90 plus tax for service call on a fridge just for the guy to tell my wife that its a common issue with the line and "he knows exactly what the issue is." without even checking it out. I described the issue to them in person and this could have been done without a service call and with a part ordered. Instead, I paid $90 for a 2 minute visit for them to tell me they already knew the issue. He didn't even inspect the line, he just said he knows the problem and will get a part ordered.

Terrible business practice, to say the least. I bought all my appliances here (2 of which do not work anymore, maybe not their fault) and a chest freezer as well, but I will go elsewhere from here on out. A service call to diagnose something you bought from them should be free! Do better!
